This hilltop holiday home in Split Apple Rock Abel Tasman has stunning panoramic views from Marahau to Nelson. It sits nestled back into the ridge with a slightly cranked Prefa aluminium roof. This home features extensive use of timber joinery and exposed cedar rafters that contrast against locally sourced rock walls which interact with a Sto plaster system (www.sto.co.nz). This house sustains its own water supply with concrete tanks built in under house. The upper level was constructed on interspan floor ribs that were sourced from Auckland (www.formstress.co.nz). Also runs ducted air conditioning throughout house with a gas fire installed for ambience.
